Just in time for Spring and Summer fun is this original family owner 4 door sedan, Strong running 4.7 liter 288 cubic inch straight 8 cylinder with new spark plugs /wires / distributor and carburetor, "Ultramatic"Automatic transmission is smooth and shifts great was a pioneering achievement in fully automatic two-speed transmission with a lockup torque converter and was known for smooth "no-shift" operation and superior highway cruising, interior has been completely redone and looks great with new black carpeted floors / new vinyl door panels and matching headliner and sun visors as well as matching vinyl seats with arm rests, this is a Nebraska vehicle so the floors are solid as well as trunk liner and engine bay fender liners, solid frame with no rust, operating headlights / trail lights and signals so this vehicle is road worthy, all the glass is in great shape with no chips or broken edges ( some vent glass in the rear door show some discoloration) the chrome is all original and is in fantastic shape ( you also get 3 additional chrome bumper guards in the trunk) blower motor and the heater works so on those chilly mornings to car shows or even a late night cruise's you will be comfortable, radio at times works and when it does it works great, horn works and is loud, brand new battery, windshield wiper work and has good blades in case you get caught in a rain storm, you have 4 brand new tires and all new drum brakes all around ( at 50MPH i was able to lock up all 4 wheels), tight suspension with new components, new shocks so hitting pot holes and bumps in this behemoth of a car will make you think if you ran over a squirrel, new fuel tank and gas lines, effortless steering so if your significant other wishes to drive it will be enjoyable for both, this is a "turn key" ready vehicle with push start and has been beautifully kept over 75 years, it truly is a time capsule and definitely a head turner, in its heyday it competed with the "BIG 3" and was more luxuries and had its own lines and curves, runs and drives great however a vehicle this age will have some minor issues such as the speedometer is noisy because the cable and the gears are worn out (you can hear it in the video) the fuel gauge works but the temperature gauge is finicky however the vehicle does not over heat so that should not be a worry (if you would really like a working temp gauge let us know and we can find a shop that can fix the stepper motor that operates it) the paint shows great potential but you will see some swirls in the paint from years of buffing and shinning it, some minor paint chips are also present but overall the car looks great, a stack full of documents such as receipts and invoices of the jobs recently done and some dating back to the early days are also included, Packard calendars and brochures as well as repair manual's are also included, a trophy was also won at a small town event that is the prized position of this car and shows the joy and pleasure it once brought to the family, now this legacy can be carried over to you as the new buyer !
